Day Four , Started down the Mississippi River

After spending several days getting the boat ready, packed, and loaded with food and other items,  making some last minute ilmprovements,  we finnally headed down river.     We started from the Spruce Creek Marina north of Bellevue at about noon , reached L&D 12 in 45 minutes,   reached the mouth of the Maquoketa River about 2:00Pm,    and went on to Subula.      Stopped at the Subula city dock where we will be spending the night.

Was a very pleasant and nice day for traveling.

Milt’s wile , Pat, met us at the Subula dock and ate supper with us,   just frozen and microwaved cheeseburgers ,  chips, with a pudding cup and cookies for dessert.
